Located just off the north end of Orchard Road in a quiet residential district, the hotel is still near enough by a five minute walk to the shopping and entertainment district. A mere 15 minute taxi or shuttle bus ride to the central business district.
L'hotel e' uno dei "dame old ladies" di Singapore e porta la bandiera della catena Shangri La. Il loro marchio di fabbrica sono i giardini multi premiati e l'enorme piscina in stile resort. E' realmente uno degli hotel piu' imperdibili nel mondo. Champagne omaggio, vino, cocktail, succhi e divani dalle 11:00 alle 22:30 presso il Valley Wing Lounge e colazione nella privata Summit Room - con un personale chef dedito a soddisfare i gusti personali di ogni ospite. L'hotel e' composto da tre blocchi che sono stati completamente rinnovati nel 2000. La facciata a finestre e il tetto composto da tetti ricurvi rendono distintiva la Tower Wing. Il Giardino e Valley Wing sono per lo piu' oscurati da alberi e vegetazione lussureggianti che sono un marchio di fabbrica dello Shangri La di Singapore.
La lobby e' enorme con grandi colonne Doriche a delimitarne il perimetro. Grandi candelieri coadiuvano la gia' sufficente luce del sole. Il pavimento e' in marmo beige con aree con posti a sedere per godersi un caffe e delle scale che conducono ad un piano superiore con ulteriori salotti per il the pomeridiano.

Shang Palace, the Cantonese restaurant offering a wide variety of exquisite Dim Sum and an extensive array of a la carte and set menus. Fine California cuisine are served at the Blu, this restaurant has a breathtaking city view and is only open for dinner. Nadaman specialised in traditional Japanese cuisine, it is part of a renowned chain of fine restaurant with 150 years of culinary tradition.
Valley Deluxe rooms are 57 square meters have a European look with Oriental touches in creams and pastels and dark wood furniture. The dressing area is separated by a Chinese style swing door, which leads to the large bathroom with separate shower area. Electric curtains, chocolates in the room, porcelain teacups, a wide selection of complimentary tea leaves and coffee, fax/printer/copier machine, personalised stationery, chandeliers that dim and a TV above the bathtub adds to the luxurious feel. Rooms overlook the putting green and landscaped gardens of Shangri-La.
