`La Purificadora` is the original name of this historic colonial building from the late 1800`s. It used to be an ice factory where the water was bottled and purified for the production of ice. With an archeologist on site, several original pieces such as bottles and glass have been found and will be used in part of the construction and graphic design. Renowned Mexican Architect Ricardo Legorreta, famous for his use of bright colors, natural light and thick walls has taken this project as a challenge for it will be completely monochromatic. The colors will be black and white only. The materials are stone (from the original construction), old wood, onyx and specially fabricated floor tile.
