I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was beautiful, great views. The staff was friendly and the rooftop pool was refreshing. It was an excellent value for the money and the location was unbeatable. We were in walking distance of Oak Street Beach, John Hancock Tower, Magnificent Mile, The Water Tower.....the best location. Chicago is a beautiful city with incredibly friendly people.

A good value, room was clean. Fitness center nice. Parking was a bit on the steep side ($48/day), which I guess makes the relatively inexpensive room rate about even.
Location is great, plenty within walking distance.

This place was perfect. I assume we were upgraded from our $149 a night room because we got a room that was basically two separate rooms, one with a couch, 2 chairs, minifridge, desk and flatscreen tv, and a second room with a king bed and television. The room was on the corner of the building and had views to the lake and down towards the loop. Could not have been happier with the avenue hotel, the skybar and rooftop pool were just icing on the cake

The hotel was perfect. Some review had commented on small rooms, but I found the 1-bedroom suite to be more than I expected. It was buy three nights, get one free, which worked out to about $90 a night - an amazing deal all around. Sadly, I was in on business and never made it to the rooftop pool, but the hotel was perfect all around and the staff were very hospitable.

The location of the Avenue hotel was just great, close to everything. If you are particularly an eager tourist who wants to see most of Chicago's landmarks in relatively a short time, then the Avenue hotel might be a perfect deal for you.

Also, I liked that there was a free business center equipped with a printer, scanner and computers. I could also use fax machines by asking the front desk even in the middle of the night.

Our family of 4 recently stayed at the Avenue Hotel in Chicago. The location can't be beat - 1/2 block from the Magnificent Mile. We were attracted to this hotel because of the great price (142/night after including chicago's exorbitant hotel tax). We were given a one bedroom corner suite on the 28th floor (with views of michican aveneue) even though we expected an ordinary double room. Didn't have to ask for an upgrade, it just happened. Worked out great for my wife and I - very comfortable bed in a spacious bedroom with a corner view (and a little closet). The accommodations for our two kids was a pull out leather couch in the living room (and like all pull out couches in my experience was not a very good bed). All in all, we'd stay there again.

Beautiful Decor, and staff was great. The room was very large. We had a bedroom and a separate living space that had a pull out bed on the couch but the couch was so comfortable we didn't need to open it. 2 TV's and a mini bar. Note, we took the drinks out of the minibar to put the drinks we brought in and they charged us b/c the minibar is sensored and recognized the change. No problem though, as soon as we explained, they took the charge off. The pool on the roof was great and the sky lounge for breakfast is highly recommended. Very comfortable, great view, freshest fruit. The location is amazing can't get better for the price we paid. Actually there had to be a mistake the price was too low for all we got. We already made plans for our return.

An excellent Hotel in the centre of Chicargo, just off Michigan Avenue in close proximity to all the shops, with plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance.

Food and drink in the hotel were on the expensive side and Elephant and Castle Pub attached to the hotel was equally priced. However there were plenty of restaurants that served breakfast, lunch and evening meal within easy walking distance.

Staff in the hotel were very polite, child friendly environment.

would go again.

We had a great stay at the Avenue Hotel. It's an excellent location, and it's got a great pub (Elephant & Castle) on the ground floor. Don't know much else about the other hotel amenities, because we just soaked up the ambiance and comfort of our room whenever we got back to the hotel. When we checked in, they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a fabulous corner suite on the 25th floor. Awesome views W, N, and E from Michigan to Iowa. Luxurious suite with a leather couch, great wi-fi access, comfy bed, and tons of space to go with that great view. For the money, it was an amazing bargain, but that might be due entirely to the free upgrade to the corner suite -- which was easily worth 3 times what we paid for the room over the weekend.

4 star, clean, new, great staff, fast check in/out. Stayed here for two nights in July. Location was practically on the magnificent mile, so couldn't be better. Fast and Free Wi Fi! Plus free printing at office center in hotel. Several El stops near by so we didn't rent a car and had no problem getting everywhere we wanted to go. Got a fantastic deal on Skoosh!
